Tulsa Police arrest two homicide suspects, chase ends with car in a fence

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police arrested a homicide suspect after a chase in north Tulsa around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

An arrest warrant was issued for Charles Phillips and Jamilah Powell-Williams July 8, 2022 for first-degree murder. Phillips was also charged for having a gun as felon.

Homicide Lt. Brandon Watkins says both were arrested in relation to a June 27th homicide.

In that case, Tony Morrison was found shot to death in his car near Admiral and Delaware.

Several patrol cars were involved. The chase lasted about 30 minutes ending with the suspect crashing the car into a fence near Pine and Peoria.

This is a developing story. Once the suspect is booked into the Tulsa County Jail a mugshot will be added.
