We tend to call him when things seem hopeless, because Chan has proven through his research that hope is a way of thinking that has real power to change lives. In fact, his findings are so well-regarded that Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt gave Dr. Hellman the mission of creating a "hope-centered" state government. And he was recently featured in a Time magazine article entitled "How to Cultivate Hope When You Don't Have Any."
