Police find preserved human remains in jars under Florida home

Police in Gainesville, Florida, have a mystery on their hands -- why there are preserved human remains stored in jars under a home.

The remains were found in a crawlspace during an inspection of the home's foundation, WCJB reported.

Some of the jars, which contain human tongues, date back to the 1960s.

The home was owned by a former University of Florida researcher and professor emeritus, and it is believed he brought the body parts to the house and stored them under the floorboards, WCJB reported.
