Woman reportedly drives high with young child inside car

A 33-year-old woman was recently taken into custody in Tulsa following a routine traffic stop.

Shawna Lowrey was pulled over on East 49th Street for failing to use her signal. Police say a strong odor of marijuana was noticed right away and the situation didn't get better for Lowrey while being tested by officers.

"The subject was very uncoordinated and unsteady on her feet during the walk and turn," police said. "Lowrey was so disoriented, that at one point she walked the second nine steps backwards."

Making matters worse, there was a 2-year-old child inside the car. No word on if the child was picked up by family or turned over to DHS.

Lowrey has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail on multiple counts including child endangerment and DUI-drugs.
