Woman charged with child neglect of a small child

A Tulsa woman is charged with child neglect after a two-year-old child is found in a home where meth is produced.

Jail records show 35-year-old Shannon Denise Pilkerton was arrested Monday evening after being charged last Wednesday.

Court records state the child in Pilkerton's care tested positive for both meth and pseudoephedrine.  The child didn't have any other noticeable injuries.

This isn't the first time she has been arrested.  Jail records show Pilkerton was arrested on October 15 along with 41-year-old Clifford Dodson on drug making counts.

She was never charged, but Dodson has since pled guilty to child neglect and manufacturing a controlled substance.  Court records state he was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The two-year-old child is currently in protective custody.
