Storms damage property in Fairfax, Osage County

Fairfax, Okla. — A state highway in Osage County is open again after a possible tornado hit Fairfax Sunday night.

Three state troopers kept travelers away from Highway 18 and also away from two square blocks in Fairfax overnight.

Troopers tell us there were some minor injuries, but no fatalities after the possible twister brought down power lines and left debris in the roadway.

A Fairfax hospital and a nursing home were without power for several hours after their backup generators also failed.

We're told there was a lot of roof damage in the area.

ODOT was called to remove debris that was blocking Highway 18 to Main Street in Fairfax.
