TULSA, Okla. — Lanes are open on Interstate 44 near U.S. Highway 169 in east Tulsa after a semi-truck crashed Tuesday morning.
Around 3:15 a.m., a semi traveling eastbound on I-44 went off the road before the exit to northbound US-169.
The semi ended up in a ditch between I-44 and the exit ramp, taking out a large highway sign in the process.
A heavy-duty tow truck was brought in to remove the semi before 5 a.m.
The area of the crash is a construction zone, and the speed limit through the work zone is 55 mph.
There’s no word yet on what caused the crash.
