Police looking for suspected shooter after man shot in back in Dowtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department responded to a call for a shooting Thursday night at an apartment complex near East 11th Street and South Detroit Ave.

TPD says a 49-year-old man was shot in the back after visiting the apartment complex to do some laundry, as he knew someone who lived in the complex. Although, investigators are unsure what the nature of their relationship is.

As he was at the apartment, he told police he’d run into another man and woman and got into a confrontation with them. As the couple left getting into a vehicle to drive away, one of them shot out the window hitting the man.

The man is expected to survive.

The suspects are currently at large.
