Police investigate east Tulsa homicide

A woman is dead and a man is in custody after a homicide in east Tulsa Friday afternoon, according to Tulsa police.

Officers were called to a house near 41st and 145th E. Ave. around 1 p.m.

Police said they arrived to find a man sitting on the front porch. Officers said he was rocking back and forth and would not talk to the officers.

Police detained the man while they investigated further.

TPD said officers looked through the glass front door and saw a woman on the floor. They went inside and confirmed she was dead.

The man who had been sitting on the porch was arrested and is considered a suspect in the woman’s death.

Police did not confirm how the woman died or how the two knew each other.
