Police chase ends when car crashes into gas meter in North Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police say what started with shots fired at a house ended with a police chase resulting in a busted gas meter.

Cops tell us they heard the shots being fired in the area of 56th Street North and Peoria around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Upon arrival they say they saw three suspects take off in a silver sedan.

After a short pursuit, the chase ended near 46th Street North and Mingo when the car lost control and hit a gas meter.

Cops say the 2 suspects tried to escape the scene but were apprehended, they say one of the suspects apprehended was a juvenile.

Investigators say they found ammunition in the car.

One of the suspects was able to get away and police are still searching for them.

Firefighters were able to fix the gas leak with the help of ONG and the road is now open.
