Man dies after falling from ladder

TULSA — CORRECTION: Police identified the dead man as Mike Sowell.

Family members say that his name was actually David Sowell.

His daughter, Ashley Sowell, tells KRMG she has tried several times to reach TPD to correct the information, but has been unable to reach the public information office.

KRMG has reached out to TPD for clarification.

A man dies while trimming a limb from a tree.

53-year old Mike Sowell died on his property Sunday when he cut through a limb and fell off the ladder.

We’re told the limb struck Sowell.

The state medical examiner responded to the scene near East Apache Street and North Maplewood Avenue.
