Homeowner holds burglar at gunpoint until help arrives

A homeowner holds a burglar at gunpoint until officers arrive Wednesday afternoon.

Tulsa police say they received the call around 2 p.m. for a burglary in process near Admiral and Garnett.

The victim was tipped off by a neighbor his house was being robbed.

Police say the homeowner quickly headed home.  From there, he grabbed his shotgun and confronted Dustin Peabody who was taking items from the backyard.

The victim yelled "freeze."  Police say Peabody listened and stayed put until officers arrived.

Peabody is currently in the Tulsa County Jail.  He faces one count of burglary and one count of grand larceny.
