Freezing rain possible Sunday night into Monday, NWS says

Tulsa, Okla. — The National Weather Service Tulsa Office says drizzle may break out Saturday night into Sunday, but after midnight Saturday it may become light freezing drizzle with this first round.

Sunday temperatures should warm above freezing transitioning back to just drizzle late Sunday morning into Sunday afternoon.

Extended models suggest a dry slot may develop by Sunday across eastern Oklahoma with a general lull in the drizzle.

The second round of wintry weather will be Sunday night into Monday with temperatures cold enough for some snow north and west of Tulsa.

The most likely precipitation type for Tulsa will be freezing rain overnight Sunday into Monday.

Overall amounts will be light, both for snow and ice.

Temperatures will warm back above freezing on Monday by mid to late morning.

The rest of the week looks cool to start with seasonal temperatures returning by mid week.
