FOX plans "event series" based on the O.J. Simpson trial

Anyone over the age of about 30 likely remembers where they were when the infamous white Bronco slow-speed chase led to the eventual arrest of Orenthal James Simpson, the former NFL star known to his fans as "Juice."

Prosecutors in L.A. believed he murdered his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in a bloody and vicious attack outside her home in Los Angeles.

Now, the FOX network plans an "event series," a term it uses to describe an expanded mini-series, about the trial which captivated the world and ended in an acquital for Simpson.

The cast of characters -- Judge Lance Ito, LA County prosecutor Marcia Clark, LAPD Det. Mark Fuhrman, witness Kaeto Kaelin, Defense attorneys F. Lee Bailey and Johnny Cochran, and of course the central figure of O.J. Simpson -- provide a lot of fodder for a series that is expected to last between 10 and 12 episodes.
