Drivers of truck carrying 9 tons of cannabis are free men

OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. — Two Men who were arrested in Pawhuska for carrying 9 tons of cannabis through Oklahoma are now free.

Farah Warsame and Tadesse Deneke  were driving the truck when it was stopped late one night in January, and were charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs along with two security guards.

Osage County D.A. Mike Fisher has decided to let them walk.

Fisher says that there was enough evidence to suggest they did not have substantial knowledge of the contents they were carrying.

The two security guards are still expected to appear in court in August.
