List of Green Country schools in distance learning Thursday

Staff absences have caused more Green Country schools to continue distance learning Thursday, Jan. 13.

Many districts have changed plans in recent days, so be sure to check the list below to see if your child’s school is affected.

Bixby Public Schools:

Distance learning for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. The district says they hope to return to in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Broken Arrow Public Schools:

Distance learning for grades 6 through 12, Park Lane Early Childhood, Aspen Creek Elementary, and Leisure Park Elementary for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14.

Starting Thursday, Jan. 13, BAPS says Highland Park Elementary, Oak Crest Elementary, and Rosewood Elementary will be in distance learning through next Tuesday.

Liberty Elementary will resume in-person learning Thursday, Jan. 13.

Per BAPS: Students in all other grades and school sites across the district will continue in-person learning. All level 2 and 3 special education students will report to class in person unless communicated otherwise. In-person tutoring is available at each site by contacting your school. All extracurricular activities, practices and athletics will continue as regularly scheduled. No transportation will be provided to practices.

Claremore Public Schools:

Will Rogers Junior High moves to distance learning for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. The school will resume in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Per CPS: Grab & Go meals will be available at the CPS Enrollment Center (101 W. 11th Street) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily. If you choose, you may pick up meals for the entire week at that time. Parents or guardians can pick up student medications held in the school nurse’s office Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. A Picture ID will be required to pick up medication.

Glenpool Public Schools:

Distance learning for all schools for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. In-person classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Jenks Public Schools:

Distance learning for West Elementary, West Intermediate and all students in grades 9 through 12 for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. In-person classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 18.

The district says East Elementary and Northwest Elementary are in distance learning until Thursday, Jan. 20.

All other JPS school sites will remain open this week for in-person learning.

McAlester Public Schools:

The district says all campuses will be closed Thursday, Jan. 13, and Friday, Jan. 14. There will be no in-person learning or distance learning, according to the district’s Facebook page.

Distance learning for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. In-person classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Assignments for grades 3-12 will be posted at 8 a.m. daily.

Muskogee Public Schools:

Distance learning for grades 6 through 12 for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. In-person classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Distance learning for all schools Thursday, Jan. 13, and Friday, Jan 14.

Sapulpa Public Schools:

Distance learning for all schools for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14. No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. In-person classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Activities and athletics will go on as scheduled, but parents are encouraged to check in for changes prior to the event.

Union Public Schools:

Distance learning for grades 6 through 12 for the remainder of the week through Friday, Jan. 14.

The district says Cedar Ridge, Grove, Jarman, Jefferson, and Ochoa will transition to distance learning on Friday, Jan. 14. More information on this change can be found here.
