Funeral for Black Wall Street Chamber president will be Friday in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — The funeral service for Sherry Gamble Smith will be held Friday in Tulsa.

Sherry was the president of the Black Wall Street Chamber of Commerce. She was found dead in her Bixby home on July 6.

Biglow Funerals said the celebration of Sherry’s legacy and life will commence Friday at 11 a.m. at Friendship Church near East Pine Street and North Peoria Avenue.

It will be live streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page starting at 10:50 a.m.

Dozens gathered in Greenwood Thursday night to remember Sherry at a vigil.
