Near-record heat for several days

• Mostly clear and warm tonight and into Monday morning
• Lots of sunshine with dry, unseasonably hot conditions each day through midweek
• Daily highs near 100 are expected
• A cold front will arrive on the first day of fall (Thursday) with a cool-down to near-average temperatures
• Heating back up into the 90s late in the week
• A few showers and storms are possible next weekend with another cold front on tap
