VIDEO: American Airlines mechanic removed from job after YouTube rant against airline

If you're looking for a job as an airline mechanic, there could be at least one opening at American soon.

American Airlines says mechanic Dennis Barnett has been "removed from service with pay" until they can have a little sit down with him over Barnett's 17 minute, profanity-laced, YouTube rant.

It has about 50,000 views, but it's been re-posted hundreds of times by sites around the world.

In it, Barnett rails against management saying, "This was the fifth-largest airline in the world and you've managed to run it into the f___g ground!" And, "We need leaders in management not a______s!"

But he also targets his vemon at the unions.

"Our unions are just as much a fault. Jim Litte, shut your f_____g mouth!"

Employment attorneys say, now that Barnett has exercised his right to free speech, American will likely exercise its equal right to fire him.
