Victory Christian Center ex-janitor pleads guilty to child rape charges

A 20-year-old former janitor at Victory Christian Center has pleaded guilty to six felonies including rape.

Chris Denman was charged with first-degree rape, forcible oral sodomy of a child, lewd molestation, two counts of using a computer to facilitate a sex crime and lewd proposal to a child.

The victims were three girls ages 12 through 15.

Another former janitor at Victory Christian, Israel Shalom Castillo, is accused of making a lewd or indecent proposal to a child.

He remains free on bond.

Assistant District Attorney Sarah McAmis requested an aggravation hearing to present evidence so that the Court will know the facts of the case and hear victim impact statements prior to sentencing.

The aggravation hearing and sentencing is scheduled Dec. 12 at 9 a.m. in District Judge William Musseman’s courtroom.
