TULSA, Okla. — The American Athletic Conference announced Thursday that the upcoming football game between the University of Tulsa and No. 8 Cincinnati has been postponed.
The Oct. 17 matchup will be moved to Dec. 5 due to COVID-19 cases at Cincinnati.
The game would have been Tulsa’s first home game this season. They’ll now have their home opener on Friday, Oct. 30 when they host East Carolina.

“I’m disappointed, first, for our football student-athletes and coaches, and obviously for our staff who has prepared so diligently, our campus and the City of Tulsa," said Tulsa’s Director of Athletics Rick Dickson.
"This TU Homecoming game was a great opportunity to showcase our football program, the community and the American Athletic Conference against the nation’s No. 8 team. As the university, the conference and the NCAA have said throughout this pandemic, the health and safety of our student-athletes are at the forefront of all decisions.”
Tickets and parking purchased for the original date will remain valid for the rescheduled game.
