Trial date set for aunt accused of second-degree murder

KRMG has an update about a woman charged in the deaths of her two young nieces.

Tulsa court records show Miashah Moses faces a charge of second-degree murder.

On Thursday, Moses entered a plea of not guilty.  A Dec. 1 trial date was then set for Moses.

The two children died in an apartment fire.

Moses was said to have told investigators she had left the apartment for a short time in order to take out the garbage and talk with friends.  During this time, food was cooking on the stove.

She said the place was on fire, when she returned to the apartment.
