Tow truck driver killed on side of road

ADAIR, Okla. — Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are looking into a fatal crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike Friday afternoon.

Investigators say a tow truck operator, with Allied Towing of Tulsa, was pulled over to tow a semi when another semi hit him.

It happened in the westbound lanes between Claremore and Adair.

Troopers say the victim had cones out and sirens on to alert drivers.

The semi driver stayed on the scene and did talk to investigators.

The victims name hasn’t been released.
