BIXBY, Okla. — A Bixby math teacher has posted bond after he was accused of taking a video up a girl’s skirt.

Police were contacted Tuesday.

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation prosecutor’s office says Jason Byrd used his cell phone in a stairwell at Bixby High School.

The school district released the following statement:

“A Bixby High School teacher was suspended on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 after the district received a report of possible inappropriate conduct on the part of the employee. Upon learning of the allegations, school officials immediately notified law enforcement and have been cooperating fully with the investigation. Based on information obtained from the Lighthorse Police Department under the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, the Bixby employee has been arrested and booked at the Okmulgee County Jail. The district can confirm public reports that the employee under investigation is Jason Byrd, a math teacher at BHS since August 2008.
