The picture popped up as the teacher was trying to show her class school work from her iCloud account.
Some students say it was a picture of the teacher performing a sex act while others say it was a video.
The Little Rock, Arkansas school district and the teacher immediately sent apologies and contacted parents who were upset.
"My heart goes out to not only my son, but other kids in the classroom," Nicholas Tolerson told KARK-TV.
And he confirmed the unnamed teacher also called each parent, “she was apologetic,” he noted.
KARK was able to get their hands on a copy of the apology; it reads:
“Hello my name is [redacted] and I am your child's [redacted]. Today an unfortunate and embarrassing incident occurred during class. An inappropriate picture that was taken on my personal phone was transferred to iPads in the classroom. Unfortunately, some of the students were exposed to the photo by accident. I would personally like to apologize for any inappropriate and unprofessional image that your child may or may not have seen. Please know that the photo was never intended for view by anyone here at the school. The incident is being investigated, and appropriate sanctions for my actions will occur.”
The school confirmed the woman will be disciplined, but the extent hasn’t been made public.
The memory of each student's iPad was erased after the incident.
