Storms brewing for Tulsa tonight

(Tulsa, OK) - Storms packing strong winds are likely tonight for the Tulsa area, according to meteorologists.

News on 6 meteorologist Alan Crone pegged the probability of storms around 60 percent.

"Our focus is going to be tonight... around 9:00, 10:00 o'clock... through the 1:00 a.m. hour for the Tulsa metro," Alan said.  "They could have a little wind as they move through, kinda like the other night."

The good news is that the cold front that's triggering the likelihood of storms will also lower the unseasonably warm temperatures around 10 degrees for tomorrow.

"Daytime high of 91... I mean it's still warm... but it sure beats 98," Crone said.

He said right now, the forecast for the weekend looks windy and warm.
