Rogers County chase ends near 21st and Garnett

Tulsa, Okla. — A suspect claiming to be a sovereign Moorish citizen is involved in a chase from Rogers County to Tulsa County.

Deputies say they were trying to arrest Sammie Markeith Young for a traffic violation early Wednesday, but he wouldn't cooperate.

I'm told when a deputy went back to his cruiser, Young tried to run him over then fled down I-44 at a high speed.

Young bailed near 21st and Garnett where he tried to hide behind a house, but the TPD chopper was watching from overhead.

He will be held in the Rogers County jail.
