POLICE: Man mauled to death by ex-girlfriend’s dogs

TULSA — A man is dead after he was attacked by three dogs at a west Tulsa home.

Lieutenant Brandon Watkins says police were called to the home near Admiral and 49th West Avenue around 6:00 Thursday morning.

Police say Curtis Wickman went to the home to contact a former girlfriend when they got into a fight and her dogs attacked him.

“Originally this was a shots heard call,” said Lt. Watkins. "Officers came out here and found a man who’d been mauled very, very severely by dogs.

Investigators are still looking into the gun shots.

Wickman died at the hospital.

The woman was taken in for questioning, but no one has been arrested.

Animal control was called to take the dogs.
