Over 1,000 people attend Ron Paul rally in Oklahoma City

A rally at the State Capitol in Oklahoma City on Saturday for GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul brings out a crowd estimated at over one thousand people.

Paul called for less government and more personal liberty.

"In Washington they're still sound asleep. They don't hear from us yet but that is our job to hear from us and let them get the message what we need in this country and that's more liberty," Paul says.

Supporter Dylan Raines also spoke to the News On 6 at the rally.

"He speaks with the most conviction and speaks with the most reality of how things actually are. The message of liberty is just something that resounds with young people."

Paul says he appreciates the support of both the young and the older generation.

"There's a lot of stories written about that 'Why should those young kids young people be concerned?' I said well their minds haven't been clouded up."

Paul supporter Alexandria Inrazaia says it is ironic that Paul is the oldest candidate with the largest youth support.

"I don't think he's an underdog. I think he's on top. I really do. And the media's not really reporting that but he's definitely on top."

Supporters hope more people get on the bandwagon when Ron Paul is mentioned in national polls.
