Manager accused of intimidating Tulsa massage parlor employees

Fri, Aug 26, 2017 — Update: We recently told you about Willie Whitman, a man charged with two counts of human trafficking stemming from a massage parlor bust.

A Tulsa newspaper reports a woman who is the manager of the Break Room Massage Parlor on South Fulton Avenue is also in some hot water.

Court records show Stefanie Thomas was charged on Thursday with intimidation of a witness.  She's accused of trying to persuade colleagues into not testifying against Whitman.

Original Story: A recent undercover sting at a midtown Tulsa massage parlor resulted in the owner being busted for human trafficking.

Police tell us Willie Whitman was arrested after one of his female workers offered an undercover officer sex for money.

“We have information at this time that he is forcing these women, coercing them, to commit acts of prostitution,” police said. “Threatening them if they don’t.”

There were five women working at the location.

Investigators believe Whitman has a past history of this at other massage parlors as well.

He has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
