We have updated information regarding an auto-pedestrian collision on Tuesday near 71st and Union.
Witnesses at the scene told investigators the driver had the right of way when the incident occurred.
“The driver of the vehicle didn’t have time to react,” police said. “At this point, that’s what this sounds like was the cause of this collision. The pedestrian running out into traffic.”
The driver was not ticketed. Police report the pedestrian is still listed in critical condition.
So far, no names have been released.
