OU 'Home' T-Shirts and Hats Fundraiser

Prior to the gates opening to Toby Keith’s Twister Relief concert on July 6, 2013, I stopped into the OU Bookstore.

Tina Weiden, OU Bookstore Director, took some time to tell me about t-shirts and hats that are being sold in the OU Bookstore as a fundraiser to help victims from the May tornadoes.

The OU Bookstore is selling a light blue t-shirt and hat with the logo “Home” on it.

The shirts are $10 each.

OU has partnered with OU Athletics and Retrobrand to make the shirts.

All proceeds will go to the United Way of Norman.

There was originally only supposed to be one run of the t-shirts in June, but the shirts have been so popular that the run has expanded.

Tina cautions however, “this is the last run. Once these shirts are gone, their gone. Show your pride for Oklahoma and help the United Way.”

Top of the World Hat brand has created a “Home” hat for $15.00.

The hat just came in the last few weeks and all proceeds from the hat sales go to the United Way.

After this run of shirts is gone, OU Bookstore will donate over $80,000 to United Way of Norman.
