TULSA, Okla. — Sunday marked one year since Gathering Place opened in Tulsa.
The $465 million park was privately funded through donations. The George Kaiser Family Foundation donated more than $200 million and other local companies donated another $200M.
The City of Tulsa paid for infrastructure upgrades on the site.

Gathering Place received national attention in its first year. USA Today named Gathering Place the 'Best New Attraction' in the country. TIME named the park one of the 'World's Greatest Places' for 2019.
