Cow wanders down Jenks neighborhood on Thursday

JENKS — It's not very often, if ever, you see a long-horned cow wandering through your neighborhood.

However, that's exactly what happened on Thursday in Jenks near 120th Street and South Umber. A ranch hand with Perryman Ranch believes the cow escaped through an open gate and was just enjoying a stroll.

“As long as they can eat grass and get out and feed a little bit, they’re good,” the ranch hand said.  “Nobody got hurt and nothing got torn up.”

The cow roamed for around 30 minutes.  Neighbors helped to get the wandering long-horned cow onto a trailer before a Sooner fan saw it.
