Local businesses opening downtown Tulsa pop-up shops during Small Business Saturday

TULSA, Okla. — Downtown Tulsa Partnership (DTP) is hosting Downtown Days of Wonder Pop-Up Shop Program. This program partners with Tulsa property owners to establish pop-up shops for local businesses. This event is to bring more people to downtown Tulsa, especially during Small Business Saturday.

DTP was established in 2021 by local property owners, businesses and civic leaders to push for improvement of Downtown Tulsa.

The organization partnered with the City of Tulsa to provide regular maintenance upkeep, mobility and livability services, marketing for the area, initiatives for beautification of the city and place enhancement funded through the Tulsa Stadium Improvement District.

For the Pop-Up Program, multiple local businesses will be given temporary ground-floor retail spaces in the Deco District and Tulsa Arts District to set up shops during Small Business Saturday in downtown Tulsa, including Onifade’s Cookie Co. and Inscents Candles.

DTP helped provide financial support to ensure participants will be without barriers in their attempts to open shop, this included small grants to cover rent, or to purchase shelving, displays and other necessary materials.

Retailers will have power over their own hours of operation but most will operate between 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Wednesday-Thursday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday-Saturday; and 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., Sunday.

During Small Business Saturday, DTP will provide reusable shopping bags and stickers for visitors.
