Court documents reveal new details about Bixby credit union robbery

BIXBY, Okla. — Court documents shed light on a robbery that happened at a Bixby credit union earlier in December, in which a Kansas City Chiefs superfan is accused of the crime.

According to an affidavit, witnesses told Bixby police officers that during the robbery at Tulsa Teachers Credit Union on Dec. 16, the suspect, later identified in the document as 28-year-old Xavier Babudar, pointed a firearm at an employee and told him to open the vault.

Babudar is known on social media as “ChiefsAholic”, and wears a wolf costume to Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium.

The affidavit goes on to say witnesses said the suspect ordered the employee to open the vault and give him $100 bills, and that if he did not, the suspect said he would “put a bullet in the employee’s head.”

Witnesses told police the suspect left with a bag with a large amount of money inside. Bixby police were told the suspect was wearing a green hoodie with the hood over his head, a mask over his face, gloves and green pants.

The document said police caught up with the suspect down the street from the credit union, and upon detaining him found a backpack containing a paintball mask, ski goggles, pair of gloves, green zip up jacket, green sweatpants, black shoes, a bag containing a large amount of money, a black CO2 pistol and other miscellaneous things.

The document said the suspect refused to give police his name, although he was eventually identified as Babudar. As of Thursday Dec. 29, Babudar remains in the Tulsa County jail for armed robbery and other related charges.
