“All Quiet on the Western Front” was a big winner in Sunday’s British Academy Film Awards, taking seven awards including best picture.
Austin Butler won best actor for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in “Elvis,” one of four awards the biopic took in London. Cate Blanchett won best actress for her role in “Tár.”
Also winning four awards was “The Banshees of Inisherin,” which won best British film.
“All Quiet” filmmaker Edward Berger was named best director. The film’s seven awards set a BAFTA record for a film not in the English language.
