TPD, Crime Stoppers searching for suspect accused of takeover-style robbery at Tulsa smoke shop

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police are asking for help identifying a suspect accused of a takeover-style robbery at a local smoke shop in October.

Robbery detectives have been working the case for two months now but have no big leads.

They said it happened on Oct. 10, 2022, at Zcloud Smoke Shop near East 71st Street and Memorial Drive.

Lt. Justin Ritter shared video of the suspect showing the minutes prior to the robbery.

“He’s actually walking around, he pulls on a door handle, so I think his original goal being out that night was he was breaking into cars,” Ritter said.

Police believe the suspect then took advantage of an opportunity.

Ritter said when an employee and a woman with him walked out of the store, the suspect confronted them with a pistol.

The suspect reportedly then forced them back into the store.

“The report said he pushed them back against the wall, and held them where they were and then took the cash and the vape pens or cigars,” Ritter told FOX23.

Now, there is also worry the suspect could be connected to more crimes.

“We definitely would like to get him off the streets. We wouldn’t be surprised if there is some other stuff going on in the area of 71st and Memorial that possibly he’s involved in. We have had carjackings in that area over the past year.”

If you have any information about the suspect, call 918-596-COPS or visit www.tulsacrimestoppers.org.
