TPD: Man shoots, kills suspected burglar breaking into south Tulsa home

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police say a suspected burglar is dead after a man shot him while he was breaking into a south Tulsa home.

TPD says they received a call about a shooting at the Brandy Chase Condominiums near 71st and Peoria just before 2 a.m. early Sunday morning.

Officers say a homeowner told them he shot a burglar as the burglar was entering his home.

Police say they found the suspected burglar dead at the bottom of the stairs with a gunshot wound.

TPD says a second man may have been with the suspected burglar and fled the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information about what happened to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
