Woman in critical condition after being thrown from 4th floor balcony

Tulsa police said a woman suffered severe injuries, including multiple broken bones, after being thrown from a fourth floor balcony in downtown Tulsa over the weekend.

TPD said it happened early Saturday morning at the Hewgley Terrace Apartments at the southwest corner of the Inner Dispersal loop in Tulsa.

Officers said surveillance video showed a man leaving an apartment carrying a woman wrapped in a blanket. Police said the suspect, Richard Wallace, walked over to a common area on the fourth floor and threw the woman over the balcony.

According to TPD, Wallace went back into the apartment and refused to come out. Police said Wallace surrendered after a short standoff.

TPD arrested Wallace for Aggravated Assault and Battery.
