TPS building new band facility, hydroponics lab at Webster

There was lots of excitement at Webster High School and Middle School today, where they broke ground on a new band facility and also a new hydroponics lab.

School Board Member Stacey Woolley says the lab will have cutting-edge technology that will give a big jump start to kids who are thinking about a career in agriculture.

“And to move that work forward into a more futuristic look at agriculture, when we’re going to need to be able to use resources in different ways, is absolutely critical,” Woolley said.

As for the band facility, she says it will give the kids a lot more space and said Webster has a very enthusiastic, devoted band program.

The projects are being funded by the 2021 Tulsa School Bond.

They hope to have them completed in about 18 months.
