New song, regional tour next for Tulsa singer and her band

TULSA — Singer-songwriter Casii Stephan says she moved to Tulsa from the Twin Cities because she’d decided a musical career wasn’t in the cards for her.

She’s apparently been dealt a new hand.

After winning a national songwriting award in 2016, she was named "One of nine Oklahoma musicians to watch" by Tulsa World Magazine early the next year, then featured this year in an article by American Songwriter magazine.

Now, she’s got a new song recorded and is preparing to go on a regional tour with her band, “The Midnight Sun,” next year.

The song, "Letters," can be heard on her SoundCloud page, but that and a lot more will be performed live Friday at a concert to be held at the IDL Ballroom downtown.

She spoke with KRMG on Wednesday (click here to hear the interview).

The show is Friday, November 23rd at 7:00 p.m. The venue is the IDL Ballroom, 230 E. 1st Street in downtown Tulsa.

Tickets are available at Eventbrite, or at the door. They are $10 for general admission, $20 for VIP (which includes food, reserved seating, and some Casii "merch").

Tea Rush will perform as well as a supporting act, and Casii says she’ll have other guests onstage along with her band.
