TULSA, Okla. — The Will Rogers High School Stage Foundation received a new theatre organ console Friday.

The school’s original organ stopped working in 1985 and they haven’t had once since.

“The tones that are generated by this organ are actually the real thing they are recorded at close range digitally by real pipes and this will generate the tones of 21 theater organ pipes,” said Alumna Richard Risk.

The performance will feature Mark Herman, an award-winning theater organist performing to Rogers’ 1922 silent film “The Ropin’ Fool”.

The first public performance is planned for Sunday, November 6.
