TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa’s new $52 million Children’s Museum Discovery Lab is nearly complete.

The children’s museum will have about 11 exhibits, some are hands on workshops, others are sensory based.

The exhibits range from electricity to water.

Ann Mannell, director of organizational development, said the Discovery Lab idea was conceived 10 years ago and has been years in the making.

While the Discovery Lab is not opened yet, they’re putting on the finishing touches.

The museum was supposed to be open already, but because of supply chain issues with deliveries caused by the pandemic, the opening date has been pushed back.

Mannell said they’re thinking the museum will be open by mid-January, though the official opening date announcement is coming next week.

Annual passes are available for purchase online.

Exhibits will be changed out every 15 to 18 months, too.
