Tulsa Botanic is getting a brand new garden

Liberty Garden, a new half-acre will serve as a new addition to Tulsa Botanic Garden. It will be located on the existing peninsula located on the east side of the Garden’s seven-acre lake. It will be built next to the Bumgarner Family Lotus Pool.

The Liberty Garden is a gift from the Stanford family.

“We are extremely grateful to the Stanford family for their wonderful gift and vision for this patriotic garden, said Garden CEO Chuck Lamson.

Cost of the Liberty Garden is approximately $4,000,000.

Visitors will enter the garden by taking the Rosalie and Lindsay Alexander Deco Bridge. A grove of trees and ornate ironwork gates will welcome those strolling through the picturesque grounds. Walkways along the east and west sides, lined with benches, evergreen trees and flowers, with views of the lake and the stunning horizon.

Groundbreaking for the new project is currently scheduled for Feb. 24. The expected completion of the Liberty Garden is expected to take place in mid-2023.
