Recall alert: B. toys Wooden Activity Walker poses choking hazard

Parents should be aware of a recall of a toy that poses a choking hazard to young children.

The CPSC says the wheels and the related hardware can detach from the walker in small pieces, posing a choking hazard. There have been six reports of the wheels and attachment hardware detaching, including one report of a child putting a detached metal nut in her mouth, according to the CPSC recall alert. No injuries have been reported.

About 17,000 units of the B. toys Wooden Activity Walker – Walk ‘n’ Learn is being voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The walker was sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com and Amazon.com from September 2020 through November 2021, according to the CPSC.

Consumers should immediately stop use of the product and contact Battat for a free repair kit. Known purchasers may receive direct communication from the distributor, Battat, with further instructions on how to obtain a repair kit.
