TOWSON, Md. — Three people were injured during a shooting Saturday morning on the Towson University campus, officials said.
Baltimore County Police said officers responded to a report of a shooting around 2 a.m. at a gathering at Freedom Square, a campus location where students congregate, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Towson spokesperson Sean Welsh said the event was not sanctioned by the university, the Sun reported.
Police found three injured adults, WBAL reported. They were taken to hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, WJZ reported. Their identities have not been released. It is unclear if they were students.
The school said it is offering counseling and support services to students. Classes started last week.
