Plane towed at Tulsa International Airport after cargo area catches fire

TULSA, Okla. — Officials have confirmed that a cargo plane caught fire at Tulsa International Airport (TIA) Tuesday afternoon.

FedEx cargo flight 463 landed at Tulsa International Airport and sent an alert to TIA that there was a fire on the aircraft.

Crews with Tulsa Fire Department and the airport fire department responded.

Everyone was evacuated safely and the aircraft was towed to the cargo ramp.

TIA said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

According to TIA, the plane departed out of Sacramento and was headed to Memphis.
