They can be so cute, but they do cause damage.
A squirrel that found its way into community center in eastern Indiana caused about $300,000 in damages recently.
The squirrel caused damage to electrical equipment, the HVAC system and part of a boiler system, causing a power surge in a Ft. Wayne Parks community center.
Luckily for the Ft. Wayne Parks Department, insurance will cover the repairs.
Sadly, the squirrel did not survive the power surge.
Crews are working to get the center opened by June 7th.
