WASHINGTON — An Oklahoma man who participated as rioters entered the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, was sentenced on Tuesday.
Levi Gable, 37, of Chouteau was sentenced to two years of probation during a federal hearing in Washington D.C., according to court records.
Prosecutors asked for jail time after Gable pleaded guilty last year to entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds.
The FBI obtained multiple surveillance videos that allegedly showed Gable inside the building, according to court records. Gable also deleted his own Facebook posts about the insurrection and told the FBI he deleted the posts because he heard people who attended the Jan. 6 rally were being “harassed” online for attending.
Gable posted on social media in January 2021 he was one of the first to enter the building.
